Description

This course is part of our Clinical Massage Therapy Series

Clinical Massage Therapy:  Torso Pain 24 CEUs

(Anterior Muscles 12 CEUs and Posterior Muscles 12 CEUs)

In this section of our Clinical Massage Therapy series, we address muscles that cause pain to the Torso, in particular we focus on abdominal pain.  Abdominal pain can manifest as many symptoms, such as digestive distress, urinary urgency, menstrual/menopausal symptoms, and just plain tummy aches. For a longer list, of symptoms, see below.

When it comes to massaging away a whole host of symptoms, we find that some of the involved muscles are found on the front of the body and some are found on the back.  We have divided the course into two sections.  You may take either section or both, and you may take them in any order.

Torso Pain -Abdominal Massage – Anterior Muscles is a 12 CEU that addresses the muscles and trigger points residing in the abdomen that cause abdominal pain.

Torso Pain- Posterior Muscles  –  is a 12 CEU that  addresses the muscles and trigger points on the posterior body that cause pain to the abdomen.

You can begin you study of Torso Pain with either the anterior muscles or the posterior muscles.

Instructors:  Dr. Eri Weinstein, Phd and Dr Kirsten Kern, PhD
