Trigger Point Basics and Beyond is a hands-on course that explores the basics of trigger point anatomy and physiology.  This course gives the massage therapist the foundations needed for understand therapeutic bodywork using trigger point release.

This course is an introduction to theory and manual techniques used for releasing trigger points in skeletal muscle. The course is designed to instruct massage therapists how to apply non-invasive trigger point release techniques. Participants learn definitions of trigger points and related structures, and basic anatomy and physiology of trigger point formation.  Hands-on portion includes palpation, assessment, and effective application of trigger point release methods.

We have taught Trigger Point Theory and Application for over 20 years to students in the massage classroom. Interaction with our students, especially answering their many excellent questions, has helped us to understand where scientific concepts get difficult.

 Your instructors for this class, Dr. Eri Weinstein, PhD and Dr. Kirsten Kern, PhD, created first Clinical Massage Therapy Program in the State of Texas and have been teaching Trigger Points and Massage Therapy since 1997.
