This course is an introduction to theory and manual techniques used for releasing trigger points in skeletal muscle. It is designed to instruct massage therapists how to apply non-invasive trigger point release techniques. Participants learn definitions of trigger points and related structures, and basic anatomy and physiology of trigger point formation. Hands-on portion includes palpation, assessment, and effective application of trigger point release methods.
In this hands-on, teacher-in-the-classroom class, you will learn the science and theory of trigger points on the back that cause abdominal discomfort. You will also learn to palpate and release these trigger points. Be prepared to learn and practice the work that can release a whole host of client symptoms of discomfort.
