Broad Ligament
I have a twin sister. You can see us in blue in this graphic.
I am actually a tube created by muscular tissue wrapped by ligamentous sheath.
I attach to the top of the uterus and run all the way over the pubic bone through the inguinal canal and attach to the bulbocavernosus muscle via the Labium Majora.
When a woman orgasms, I get my exercise. I contract and shorten during sexual arousal, then the uterus rises up and forward to move the cervix out to the way of the potential pounding of the penis.
I can get really stretched during pregnancy and cause a pain for women, which is named after me.

14. I support the base of the uterus. I am in blue in this graphic.
I wrap around the neck, the cervix like a scarf and attach to both sides of insides of the hip bones.

Proper Ligament
17. I am ligament that is thought to attach the uterus to the sacrum.
If truth be known, my name is a bit of a misnomer, because my attachment sites vary depending on the person. You can find me in blue in this illustration.
I can attach anywhere along the genital tract, from the cervix to the upper vagina.
My insertion on the pelvic sidewall can happen on the sacrospinous ligament and the coccygeus muscle; however, I also can attach on the sacrum.
